Would You Like To Make A Difference?

Individuals making a difference

  • Would you like to contribute a scholarship?  The scholarships help top math and science students to attend The Stars Challenge courses.  Cost:  $500 per semester.
  • You can help us recruit excellent teachers.  Parents know who the really good teachers are; send us an email and tell us.  We found Mr. Roche through a friend whose two sons had Mr. Roche at High Technology High School.  We found Mr. Marc Coe through another friend whose four daughters had Mr. Coe for their science teacher.  Cost:  A bit of your time.
  • You can help us recruit strong math and science students.  You probably know students who would enjoy, and benefit from, our courses.  Help steer them to us.  Cost:  A bit of your time.
  • All contributions are welcome.  Cost:  Whatever you choose!  Just send a check to the address below.

Please make checks payable to “The Stars Challenge” and send them to:

All contributions to The Stars Challenge are tax deductible; we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.  The students pay tuition, we pay the teachers, teaching assistants, and other costs.  We do not pay ourselves; we do this as volunteers.

Corporations making a difference
We welcome corporations who'd like to help get more students into science and technology!  Corporations can help in any of the ways outlined above of course.  But there are things that are more suited to corporations who are concerned about our pipeline of scientists and engineers.  Some thoughts are listed below but we'd be delighted to talk with you about your ideas.

  • Hire a teacher to work for your company over the summer and develop a relevant course.  This might be something in energy, radiology, or whatever is of interest to your company.  Cost:  Summer salary for a teacher.
  • Sponsor a student for a year.  This would provide two semesters of scholarships.  Cost:  $1,000.
